Conditions for Submission
The authors admit that:
As part of the submission process, authors are required to check the conformity of submission in respect of all the items listed below. Submissions that do not comply with the rules will be returned to authors.
- The contribution must be original and unpublished, written in Portuguese and English.
- All the authors who submit their articles for publication in e-Book – “International Conference Sport and Olympic Education – Methods and Practices” are committed to not submit under any circumstances unless the articles are not published within one year. And at the same time give the Polytechnic Institute of Setubal indexing rights in national and international networks, the published articles. The content of the texts and the opinions expressed therein, such as reference pictures or graphics that have been published are the sole responsibility of the authors. The number of references should not exceed 25.
- For references, the localized pattern features (URL) should be provided when available.
- Articles for online submission must be submitted in Microsoft Word format, Open Office or RTF (provided they do not exceed 2MB), with the following formatting: font, Times New Roman, size 12 cm; spacing of 1.5 cm justified on both sides with 3 cm. Citations from 4 lines should be single spaced, left indent and right 4 cm, with the times new roman font, size 11. The notes should be at the end of the text (Times New Roman, 10, single-spaced) .as figures and tables should be inserted in the text, not at the end of the document in the form of attachments.
- The text should be presented as follows: Centralized Title (Portuguese and English); Name (s) author (s), institution (s) and email (s) centralized; Titration and institutional affiliation centralized.
- The communication ‘Main Speaker’ should have a maximum of 10,000 words.
- The communication submitted by guests should have a maximum of 7,000 words.
- Communication Free / Poster should have a maximum of 4,000 words.
- Articles should be accompanied by an abstract in Portuguese and English (300 words) and 3-5 keywords separated by semicolons. The summary should explain the overall theme, the problem, objectives, methodology and key findings. At the end of text should be informed the mailing address.
- Two copies of the complete article for publication must be placed at the address “cideo.2016@ips.pt”. A copy without any identification of the authors (name and affiliation of the authors and e-mail address) and the other with the complete identification of the article / author (title, name and affiliation of the authors and e-mail address), including abstract in Portuguese and English.
- Any and all work submitted must comply with the resolution 196/96, in the case of research involving human subjects.
- Full papers must have a maximum of 30 000 characters (with spaces) including graphs, tables, images, text endnotes and references. References should be formatted according to the APA style (American Psychological Association, 6th Edition). For more detailed information, see the official website: http://www.apastyle.org/.
Recommendations for the presentation of oral communications:
The conference room in which will take place the presentation of oral communications has a projector to computer powerpoint. For other operating systems, or presentation software, the speakers should contact the organizing committee. In case of use of Apple-branded computer itself, the presenter should bring the appropriate adapter for video projection. Authors should provide the respective presentation, duly entitled to the secretariat. The no-show of the communication host will result in job submission impediment in CIDEO’2016 by the author.
During the CIDEO’2016 all participants, including presenters of oral communications should be presented with the ID badges. The use of the same is required for free access to scientific sessions and coffee breaks.
Recommendations for presenters of posters:
Posters should have a maximum of 160 cm х height 90 cm wide (vertical position) and remain exposed throughout CIDEO’2016.
Material for fixing posters to billboards will be available at the Secretariat. The posters should be posted on their placards of from 8.30 am to 9.15 of November 2. They must be removed from exposure on 3 November from 18.30. Failure poster display will result in the submission impediment jobs in CIDEO’2016 by the authors. The poster presenter should remain with the same period in the coffee breaks. The diplomas will be delivered to the author on Saturday, November 3rd.

Review process:
- Reviewers will not know the identity of the authors of the proposals, and the authors are aware of the reviewers’ opinions, but not their identity.
- Abstracts and full papers accepted will be published in the Book of Abstracts and in the Minutes Book of the “International Conference on Sport and Olympic Education – Realities and Practices” (ISBN: 978-989-99598-1-1).
- At the end of each global article should have a brief biographical sketch of the author, which includes institutions, academic or professional activities, publications and experience in projects and e-mail.
- Each participant is entitled to a certificate of participation.
